Volunteer Opportunities with Noah Education Fund

Our volunteers and student interns learn valuable business skills by assisting in project management, marketing, social media, website design and development, fundraising, writing, and editing. Volunteer opportunities and internships are available to student volunteers who are looking to learn and help our growing nonprofit organization, we do however require a minimum of 5 hours per week. College credit is available on request.

Web Designer (Part-time, telecommute)

Job Title: Web Designer

Noah Education Fund is a 501c (3) non-profit organization in the Washington, D.C., area. We are an organization with a friendly working environment and we are looking for passionate and self-driven individuals to assist with our new website: www.noahwriting.com.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Web Designer will manage and control the graphic and user interface design of www.noahwriting.com and www.noaheducationfund.org as well as social media pages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in website interface design including new layout, features and functions.
* Determining technical requirements.
* Designing webpage layout.
* Updating websites.
* Assist with researching, writing, and editing content as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Strong time management skills, ability to coordinate tasks, and set priorities with little supervision.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Report web application issues to the Director.
* Monitor new posts for inappropriate content.
* Assist with researching, writing, and editing content as needed.

Human Resources Manager (Part-time, telecommute)

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources manager will serve as the link between Noah Education Fund and the volunteers. S/he will handle all human resources responsibilities for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with the Director to ensure that all staffing issues are appropriately and legally addressed.
* Work with Social Media manager to collect resumes of candidates who apply using social media technology.
* Post job openings, review resumes and select candidates to interview.
* Screen candidates to ensure that they’re qualified for the job opening, and then set up interviews with the hiring manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Business Development Manager, you will introduce and promote www.noahwriting.com to high school and college students as well as other writer groups through emails. This position is overseen and managed by the Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Understand project management processes and methodology.
* Create and execute project plans, including deadlines, specs, assets, and budget.
* Enhance website contents by providing positive and constructive feedback and comments to the team of dedicated writers.
* Produce other writings as assigned including business proposals, marketing plans and website pages.
* You will be expected to hit key metrics with respect to the Marketing field.
* Give status update on progress to the Director every week before Monday.
